This Request for Proposals (RFP) of Reagan Mass Transit District (RMTD) is requesting responses from qualified organizations with related experience in operating Intercity Bus public transportation routes.
This updated RFP Package for Intercity Bus Operators of two existing routes in Illinois (I-88 and I-39) includes the following language change:
Page 8 – Strikes the following sentence: In addition, seven (7) Intercity Bus branded buses will be supplied by Reagan MTD for use by the Service Operator under a leasing arrangement and for use on the ICB routes. REPLACED WITH the following language: The awarded Service Operator(s) will be responsible for providing necessary vehicles for use on the identified ICB routes along with…
Page 24 – clarifies language as to vehicles that will be used on the identified routes. CLARIFICATION – previously the RFP mentioned that vehicles would be provided for use on these routes. The revised language removes that language and REPLACES IT WITH the following language: ….the service operators will be responsible for providing vehicles for use on these routes and to maintain said vehicles unless they choses to secure a third-party contract for such maintenance.
