      Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling, with parental consent. In-town ride are defined as inside zip code. Arrangements for in-town rides must be made at least one (1) business day in advance. Out-of-town rides are defined as outside zip code. Request for out-of-town rides must be made at least two (2) business days in advance. Passengers must be able to access the vehicle without driver assistance or an aide will be required. Aides assisting passengers may ride at no cost.

RMTD School Transportation Services

If your child participates in after-school activities, bus rides home may be limited or unavailable. At private school, buses may not even be an option. Transportation to and from summer camps or athletic programs also can be almost impossible. RMTD can help: we provide school transportation services for kids ages 5 and up.

Other Transportation Information

Arrangements for in-town rides must be made at least one (1) business day in advance.
Request for out-of-town rides must be made at least two (2) business days in advance.
Aides assisting passengers may ride at no cost.
Passengers must be able to access the vehicle without driver assistance or an aide will be required.
Long distance trips may be scheduled to locations such as Rockford or DeKalb at the rate of $0.35 per mile and is based on vehicle availability and the Director’s approval.
