RMTD Funding

Lee County is the Grantee for Reagan Mass Transit District. The County receives funding from the Illinois Department of Transportation via several different programs: the Federal Transportation Administration’s 5311 program, the State of Illinois Downstate Operating Assistance Program, 5311F funding for two Intercity Bus/Greyhound Connect routes (I-88 and I-39), and the Downstate Capital Improvement Fund.

Reagan Mass Transit District relies on local matching dollars to fulfill the Grant requirements. Local match components are generated through provider organizations of the system, local agency partnerships, and individual donations. If your agency is interested in a service contract for clients, please contact Greg Gates (Director of RMTD) at (815) 288-2117.
