      Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling, with parental consent. In-town ride are defined as inside zip code. Arrangements for in-town rides must be made at least one (1) business day in advance. Out-of-town rides are defined as outside zip code. Request for out-of-town rides must be made at least two (2) business days in advance. Passengers must be able to access the vehicle without driver assistance or an aide will be required. Aides assisting passengers may ride at no cost.

In compliance with ADA regulations, the Reagan MTD service animal policy permits service animals on our vehicles.

Service animals refer to any animal individually trained to work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. They play an important role in supporting individuals with disabilities by providing essential assistance that promotes independence, safety, and confidence in daily life.

Service animals help people with disabilities by doing important tasks. They can guide the blind, alert the deaf, or detect seizures and low blood sugar. Some service animals support mental health by calming anxiety, stopping harmful behaviors, or easing PTSD symptoms. Each service animal is trained to meet the specific needs of the person they assist.

Allowing service animals on Reagan MTD vehicles upholds federal law and affirms the dignity and autonomy of all passengers. Our policy ensures individuals with disabilities can travel freely. This includes medical appointments, work or school, and participating in their communities without fear of exclusion.
